Ciudad Quesada was developed in the early 1970’s when a Spanish entrepreneur called Justo Quesada Samper decided to build his own town. The urbanisation grew and finally it was accepted as a real Spanish town.

Ciudad Quesada is a popular place where many people of different nationalities live all year round. Ciudad Quesada is around 10 minutes from the coast so it may not be your first choice for a place to stay for a beach holiday but due to its many shops, bars and restaurants still makes a great place to holiday and with it’s climate recognised by the World Health organisation as one of the most environmentally perfect climates in the world makes it an ideal place to live.

La Marquesa Golf


Amongst the many golf courses on the Costa Blanca many of which are within easy driving distance, Ciudad Quesada boasts its very own 18 hole golf course with driving range. La Marquesa Golf was founded and designed in 1989.

If playing golf isn’t your thing the peaceful area surrounding La Marquesa makes a lovely place to sit an relax with a drink or bite to eat in one of the many bars and restaurants overlooking the golf course.

The Clubhouse Cocktail Bar and Pool is ideal if you have children as they have a pool on the terrace allowing you to relax while the kids have fun in the pool.

The first is Quesada Mini Golf Bar and Restaurant which boasts an 18 hole course reasonably priced food and drinks and regular bingo nights. It really is an ideal place to have some family fun in a newly renovated and welcoming environment.

JR’s Country Club, although a smaller course the country club has a lot more to offer with a huge free to use outdoor swimming pool with partitioned children’s pool, a children’s play area, bouncy castle and pool table. With a large outdoor terrace with stunning lake views and indoor lounge there is also a lovely indoor restaurant. Booking for a table on Sunday’s would be advisable if you want to sample their fantastic Sunday Carvery.  On top of this there is regular entertainment which makes it an ideal place to spend a day.

Located in a natural valley within the urbanization Ciudad Quesada, AquaPark was inaugurated on July 14, 1986, being the second water park of the Valencian Community and Spain.

In the 21,000 square meters it occupies, are scattered all its attractions, as well as the rest areas, all equipped with shadows and benches of tables, freely available to the public, also counting, with a large lawn with umbrellas, where you can rest peacefully, a little away from all the bustle of the park.

It also has Restaurant and Cafeteria service, where you can regain strength with succulent dishes, or custom paella, and refresh in your cafeteria and snack bar.

The are a traditional complex of houses dug out of rock during the 18th and 20th Centuries. The technique used entailed digging the slopes in pieces

of 2.5 - 5 meters high to allow the creation of different rooms. The dug out land was used to form a platform outside the cave which was used to plant vegetable gardens and helped the precarious family economy The renovation of the caves has resulted in the establishment of a large Municipal Underground Ecomuseum made up of 15 cave houses that nowadays have become handicraft workshops and exhibition halls  and a Crafts Market, both located in the renovated caves owned by the Rojales Town Council.
